Innovative Dermatology participates with many major health insurance plans (except Cigna and Medicaid) used by patients throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware,  New York, New Jersey,and Maryland.

Because insurance coverage depends on your specific plan type (HMO, PPO, EPO), employer group, and referral requirements, patients should always verify their benefits directly with their insurance carrier prior to their appointment.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

To ensure a smooth visit, please bring:

🪪 Government-issued photo ID
💳 Your insurance card
📄 Referral from your primary care physician (if required)
💲 Copay or deductible payment

Important Insurance Information

Insurance coverage varies depending on:

  • Your specific insurance product (HMO, PPO, POS)

  • Whether a referral or prior authorization is required

  • Whether the visit is for medical dermatology, skin cancer evaluation, surgery, or cosmetic treatment

Cosmetic treatments such as wrinkle relaxers, fillers, or laser aesthetic procedures are typically not covered by insurance.

Do you accept my insurance?

We participate with many major insurance plans (except Cigna and Medicaid) used throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware. Coverage depends on the specific plan, not just the insurance company. Please contact your insurance carrier or our office to confirm participation.

Some HMO plans require a referral from your primary care physician before seeing a specialist. PPO plans typically do not require referrals.

Most medical dermatology visits are covered when they involve diagnosis or treatment of conditions such as:

    • Skin cancer screening

    • Suspicious moles

    • Rashes or infections

    • Psoriasis or eczema

    • Acne or rosacea

Cosmetic procedures are generally not covered by insurance.
